Alternate Souls is Eiji Shishido's, the Creator of the internationally recognized Force of Will TCG, newest industrious project. Alternate Souls is an “Arena Card Game” in which players build decks with character cards and move corresponding acrylic figures across the arena to defeat opponents to claim their spot as the Ultimate Soul. The game will release this year in both Japanese and English, and we hope to bring it to 7 different languages, as the Force of Will TCG is currently.
Alternate Souls will launch with a new collectible system that will make every character unique: The Souls System. This system is integral to the player experience for Alternate Souls. The Souls System is a database for a player's entire Alternate Souls collection.
Every booster pack contains 1 unique QR code to scan that goes along with the collectible character received in that pack. These QR codes enter the players into a chance to win a free trip to Japan to celebrate at the Festival of Ultimate Souls. Additionally, these QR codes attribute to the Ultimate Soul Collection, which is awarded to the player that has the most of a particular character per season. That player will receive a unique one-of-a-kind alternate version of that character, along with a set of unique one-of-a-kind foil promotional cards, declaring them the Ultimate Soul for that character. The Souls System is also the means in which players will gain access to special promotional materials such as other alternate art game cards, alternate character standees, and more.
About Eiji Shishido: An internationally-minded entrepreneur based in Japan. With a background in traditional toys and games in Japan’s model train industry, he expanded his horizons greatly during his leadership of the 2012 Trading Card Game (TCG) Force of Will TCG. Learning from these experiences and the wonderful partners made over the 6 years as the CEO of Force of Will Co. Eiji now heads Will Studio’s to continue on his legacy of “Connecting the World Together,” but now with the flexibility to support other Japanese creators, as well as develop multiple other projects.
